Laminated beam is a structural wood product made up of several layers of dimension lumber glued together.

Species: Mainly in Fir. It can also be manufactured in Pine, Larch and other species on request.

Beam is supplied at (12%, +- 2.5%) moisture. They come brushed and in blunt edges (rounded edge). Some factories make only live edge (cheaper).

GRADES:

*Visual and Industrial.

MESURES:

*Height: from 60 to 2300 mm in 40 mm.

*Widths: from 60 to 280 mm in 20 mm.

*Lengths: from 1mt to 42 meters.

*Standard lengths: 12 to 13.5 meters.

STRENGTH OF THE LAMINATED BEAM:

*They are classified in GL24, GL28, GL30 and GL32.

DENSITY:

*Average of 400 to 500 Kg m3 in Fir and Pine.
